Kitchen Refurbishment

One client Olelo currently provides property repairs & maintenance services, decided to refurbish completely one communal dining and kitchen area within one of their extra care schemes, housing residents with Dementia.

This project came with a number of challenges, managing and working carefully around vulnerable tenants, restricting noise pollution as to minimise disruption to residents, pathways to deliver material and remove waste, safe protection of communal floor coverings without causing a trip hazard.

The works involved in this refurbishment were to sand, buff & varnish parquet flooring, the renewal of three-square meters of matching parquet (where rotten), a complete redecoration of the entire area, renewal of light fixtures, renewal of wiring (where necessary), providing a completion electrical certificate, renewal of kitchen to the standard of an extra care scheme.
